This encapsulated how shitty of a writer Davies was. Any great episode during his tenure as writer, was written by one of his staff members. Except Midnight, that was one of the rare occasions he put together a great episode.

Comparing Moffat to RTD, is like comparing Stephen King to Shakespeare. There's nothing to compare. One pumps out crap for money, the other is brilliant.

I respectfully disagree - I think the show has matured and improved since he left. That's not to say the man was a terrible writer, I think some of his episodes were excellent, but personally I think that under SM's guidance the series is far better.

Just my opinion, of course.
